This message I’m about to share is what inspired The Sovereign Life - 8 week program.
Now, the purpose of this message is not to claim anything, I trust you to take in what resonates for you. It’s an exploration, based on what I’ve personally had to move through.
Because I came to understand that I was about as far away from sovereign as one could be.
Most of my life, I have allowed the opinions and instructions of others to define how I thought of myself, and who I told myself I was or could be.
I was a slave to the thoughts of others.
A slave to myself.
I was not free.
For in order to be free, we must first be Sovereign.
Which brings us to the question…
What is Sovereignty?
Sovereignty is the condition of being self-governed from the inside - spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically… without transferring that authority to any external power.
It is the ability to move in confidence, regardless of what others are saying or trying to influence you to do, simply because your heart tells you it is the right thing to do.
I have come to see four elements to this:
Sovereignty of the Body (Personal)
Sovereignty of the Spirit (Spiritual)
Sovereignty of the Mind (Intellectual)
Sovereignty of the Emotions (Emotional)
These are the foundations of our personal Sovereignty Field.
All four are interconnected. All four can be compromised. And if one is compromised, they all are.
Personal Sovereignty is about being the author of your own life.
It is that sacred space where choices arise from your personal values. Not because of fear or consequences, but because of alignment to who you are within.
It is the ability to say no - without any explanation and be comfortable in yourself for doing so.
This is the full knowing that you are the active creator in your life and are inspired to shape it in the way that is in alignment to your core truths.
Spiritual Sovereignty is the knowing that you have an original blueprint.
This is a soul-level template that exists prior to all conditioning, programming, wounding, and false identity.
It is the recognition that you need no intermediary, external authority, or outer source to validate, confirm, or experience your own connection to the Divine.
You are your own direct connection.
It’s the knowing that you are not spiritually owned by any group, system or religion.
It’s the knowing that you can receive guidance, teaching and conversation… yet remain in the seat of your own personal discernment.
One of the deepest losses of spiritual sovereignty is outsourcing your compass to something or someone outside of yourself.
Intellectual Sovereignty is the capacity to think your own thoughts.
This means you can encounter an idea that troubles you and sit with it, rather than immediately accepting or rejecting it based on its source.
It means you can pause on a question without rushing to adopt someone else's point of view as your own.
That you are willing to recognise that even if you believe you are right - you might not be…
But most importantly it is the ability to give your own meaning to things.
A sovereign mind is not one that rejects everything, it is one that is willing to be wrong, and willing to stand alone despite popular opinion, because it does not need to conform.
Emotional Sovereignty is the ability to experience the emotion, without being ruled or influenced by it.
Emotions are a key part of the human experience, and yet they can also be easily manipulated.
Especially in cases where there are still unprocessed trauma loops playing out in life.
Perhaps the deepest loss of emotional sovereignty is when your feelings become one of the primary ways that you can be controlled, and your emotional body becomes a leash to control you.
Here is my personal definition of Sovereignty and how it applies to life at present.
And of course, this definition is a perspective that may change over time as I myself grow.
You are the authority of your own inner world.
Sovereignty is not pride or independence.
It is the silent confidence of someone who has done enough inner work to know their own mind, their own voice, their own roots - and no longer needs external permission to trust it.
A sovereign person doesn't need to control others, because they are no longer controlled by fear.
They make decisions from their own centre, not from the pressure of what others expect or what the crowd is doing.
This is the foundation without which all other virtues become fragile.
One cannot live a life of virtue, unless the work to become Sovereign has become a priority.
If you feel powerless, mentally confused, manipulated, less than or disempowered, look to where you are giving your sovereignty away…
And then see this realisation as an inspiration.
Because once it is seen, named and felt… it can change.
Once we see where our sovereignty is lost, we can begin to reclaim it.
I believe that a reason many of us chose to incarnate in this timeline is to learn how to be a truly sovereign soul, in a world deliberately designed to deny you that very right.
Earth is the ultimate education platform, designed to be so immersive, we sometimes mistake it for the only reality there is. We think we know how the world works - yet we know only a perspective of how it does. As soon as we can accept this, doorways open to higher perspectives and new solutions.
We live in a world divided - where the driving energy is a single word - Control.
Control to get your attention, your money, to alter the narrative, or to influence the economy.
Control of what ‘truth’ is allowed…
We are here to learn how to swim through the control currents, without being lost to them.
Becoming Sovereign
Starts with knowing and healing the self.
Seeing the patterns and no longer being entrapped by them.
Returning to the inner knowing that everything you need already exists within you.
And living from that place as if it already is right now.
Control, requires consent.
Freedom, requires reclaiming.
Reclaiming, requires radical self honesty.
And this is only achieved through the power of Choice.
Through daily actions, discipline and mindfulness.
Question Everything - questioning ‘everything’ set me free from religion, wounds, limiting beliefs & damaging relationships.
Now, I had to give this next piece quite a bit of thought...
What does sovereign living look like in everyday life?
What simple awareness can we hold to immediately shift our state?
Sovereignty begins with inner wholeness and understanding your why.
For ourselves, it is currently - Freedom and Unity - and the deeper meanings assigned to them below:
Field ownership - you decide what enters your consciousness
Retrieval & soul reclamation - calling back the parts of yourself that you abandoned to survive
Embodied presence & energetic hygiene - The first act of sovereignty, inhabiting your body fully
Emotional alchemy & enlightened witness - Transforming life experiences into wisdom and discernment vs division
Discernment & divine blueprint - Reconnect to your original template free from programming/conditioning
Observer consciousness - Stepping out of the reactive loop and into neutral witnessing
Multidimensional awareness - Life is more than 3D, you cannot know true freedom until we work beyond what is only seen.
Through this journey, we remember who we are and become whole once more.
The question I had to honestly ask myself was, “Am I prepared to let go of who I thought I was… to discover who I actually am…”
No-one can make that choice for you. Only you can step through that door.
This decision, leads to UNITY, as explained below…
Unified Self - no longer fragmented, all parts are home, complete love for self in all elements.
Natural Authority - truly self-governed, requiring no external permission.
Inner Knowing as the Guiding Compass - not externally influenced by other sources.
True Blueprint Restored - original template reclaimed prior to all conditioning - living from the inner spark.
Your Field, Sovereign - only what is chosen is allowed to enter.
I had done all forms of personal and professional development to “fix myself” and the progress was slow.
Yet as soon as I embraced the psychology of the soul, the knowing that I am not broken just cluttered, and that I can trust myself - my entire life changed.
I still have work to do, but I am committed to the path of sovereignty. And I know you are too.
May these guidelines support your own path of discovery, healing, questioning and reclaiming your truth.
The world does not need to defeat you.
It only needs you to stop trusting yourself.
Trust in Yourself
Because the moment you do, it will grant others permission to do the same.
Even one drop can change the balance.
